Moving to California any problems with the lease?

Hi

I'm moving to California from Rochester NY. Is there anything in the lease I should worry about? Its being transported by carrier.

Thanks

Leased earlier

Hello Raddoc,

I dont foresee any problem if you move from one state to another. I leased my previous car in TX and then I moved to MA and I did not have any problem.I only had an Hiccup when I had to change the License plate..The Registry wanted a original Title and we dont carry that as it was a leased car. I asked Honda to give the original they said they cant give to me personally ,so my AAA insurance agent came into the picture and solved the issue by getting the original Tittle and getting the License plate done.Other than that...you might have to bear the local town tax ...thats pretty much it.

Nothing in particular about the lease. You will be switched from a one-time tax payment to tax added per monthly lease payment. Also, when you register the vehicle in California, you will need to get the power of attorney from your finance company in order to be allowed to register the vehicle.

All the above applies ... as long as you leased through Acura. If you leased throuhg a local bank, the issues may be different depending on if they have a "footprint" in CA.

Probably not the case, but I thought I would bring it up.

BMWs are a status thing in So Cal. Probably 90% of them are leased. I don't know one person that is purchasing one. I have two nieces that are leasing BMWs. I guess no one can afford to keep one after the warrenty expires.
