My 2006 is in the 65k mileage range. It doesn't driven too much so it looks brand new.

Thumbs up

Awesome! Especially a Cali car. I bet it looks fresh off the assembly line.

ILX is a very different car. It's more nimble and loud. I like the steering, with it's smaller steering wheel you really do feel more connected to the road. In sport mode it's pretty responsive and the DCT8 is just awesome. All the benefits of manual with none of the pain (especially in traffic!). The RL is more like an executive cruiser, much quieter and more comfortably soaks up bumps in the road. Interior quality materials are much better in the RL. The RL's interior still looks modern to me, even though the infotainment is outdated. Parked side by side in my garage, it's so obvious how much larger the RL is.

I'm a more subdued fellow in my old age. RL is just right for me. But the ilx does look nice. I saw the 2018 tlx this weekend while getting my inflators replaced and it looks really good in person. Saw one with the red interior and it's beautiful. I also saw a white nsx. Looks like a lambo or maybe ferrari....

I hear you about subdued. I'm at the point where I don't care about raw specs so much. As long as it's decently fast. And the RL is more than adequate in terms of speed. It really is a well built car. Everyone on mine works perfectly.

LOL I didn't buy the RL for speed.... here is what I currently own.

2006 RL
2007 TL Type S
2007 TL Navi

Each of them got a dedicated personality to them when I drive. E.G I take the RL everywhere because it smooth and elegant, if I want to tackle couple twisty corner or drive like I am 16 years old its the Type S and if I want something blend between sporty but not too smooth to point of boring then it will be the Base TL. To be honest, Acura current line up has nothing attracted even the TLX Aspec, RLX SH-AWD is nice but I have fund for other things.

Not a fast sports car, but it can certainly move well in a straight line.
Coming from a 95 acura legend gs, I feel the power more on this rl. Again not a sports car but it fits my needs well.

^^^ LMFAO you talking about 10 years technology gap and being 3500 lbs 230 HP 205 TQ vs 4000 lbs 290 HP and 256 TQ. I know my friend I used to have a 91 LS MT. I know Tylson way back before he even become popular with the automotive press.

Talking

Lmao, yes, I took that into consideration. Tyson is a legend by the way. Crazy mileage on his legend. You had a 6 sp m/t..sweet...I don't miss my legend btw. Glad I moved on. I got a taste of newer technology and I love it. I have the bug now so I'll probably sell this 05 and move on to a newer acura.

I am not ready to move to newer Acura, well the RLX SH-AWD is nice but the value does not hold out well. The MDX sport is well out of question.
