MID - Anyway to have choose a startup display?

I'd like to have the SH-AWD display be active after I start the car. It seems that nothing displays until I select something. Is this normal?

So basically, is there anyway to choose a default setting to display above the odometer/temp after startup? The lower MID setting seems to stick.

It's normal because mine does it too. I'm sure once a few hacker type computer geniuses purchase the RL, we'll get to see some hacks to the system.

Carry it to the dealer. They have a computer that plugs into the system. I got them to reprogram my greeting from "Hello Driver 1" to "Hello Professor, You Damn Sexy Beast!"

And for the "Goodbye" it says "Get the Fawk Out!"

For a minute, I thought the post may have been legitimate, but I doubt the computers vocabulary would contain any of the words in "Damn sexy beast" or even "fawk" for that matter.

My home alarm has a vocabulary of words that can be programmed into the voice keypad.
Perhaps another RL "hack" waiting to be found? I did read somewhere there was a vocabulary of about 200 to 250 words in the RL? or was that the M35?

Yes it is normal and Acura should fix it. Your settings should always come back "AS WAS" or to a programmed preference.

The Cruise Control Icon should not be on the MID but should be a color change of the cruise on LED, thay way you wouldn't have to lose the SH-AWD display when you enable cruise.

If wish Acura would ALWAYS display the gear number irrelevent of Auto or Manual shift mode.

Like all software writers for cars - Have they ever driven the results of their efforts?
