Manual Trunk Release
Manual Trunk Release
I went on vacation for a couple of weeks and my battery drained completely when I got home. So I went to get my battery pack out of my trunk and I couldn't find a way in. With an electronic release on the driver door and no key for the trunk...how the heck you suppose to get in there? Am I missing something or is this by design? Seems odd that you can't access the trunk when you're in the most need.

There should be a release that you can access through the pass through. There should be a cable that you can pull if I recall it's located underneath the rear parcel shelf.
I'll look there again, but I thought I checked it out...As you know the access panel in the back is only big enough to get your arm through (this isn't a flip down seat). The only release I could locate was in the trunk all the way back by the rear light fixture. So unless I'm a knuckle dragger, I can't reach that one.
get your Fobe Key, Open de driver door, Unlock back doors.
Sit in the rear seat , Pull down the middle Arm resters and go trou the pass hall way. If you have it lock you will need your Fobe Key to OPEN the little pass/ vent. There is a cable LOOP for you to pull. While seating in the back seat, pass and reach your right arm throu the pass window and reach the top right corner to reach The cable LOOP. Pull it and Trunk will open. See Car Manual for more info.
