Looking to buy. How to tell from interior pics if ACC/CMBS equipped?
I've been looking for 2006-08 RL's in the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic for a few weeks now online. It seems that most dealerships and some private owners have no idea if the vehicle is ACC/CMBS equipped. Am I right in assuming if the two buttons at the 5 o'clock spoke on the steering wheel are present then the vehicle has it?
What are your thoughts on an '06 with 105k with all dealer service records including t-belt/water pump for $14000?
I've decided to stop looking at 05's based on what I've read on this forum. Although that year with similar mileage and service records are $1500-$2000 cheaper.
Thanks in advance!

There are three ways to tell from just interior alone.
One is the ACC distance button on the 5 o'clock spoke of the steering wheel as you mentioned.
Second, on the left side of the dash next to the gauges, there will be a "CMBS OFF" button in addition to the VSA and AFS buttons.
Third, the Cruise Control button on the steering wheel will say "ACC" on it instead of "CRUISE"

Cruising in ATL!!
yes. those two extra buttons on the steering wheel is for ACC so that would be one validation. another would be - by the speedometer, you'll see a CMBS button to disable/enable. At last, you can go to the front-grille (exterior of course) and check it there as well.
is that 06 with a premium package? Still with original PAX tires? I've seen lower price in my area (Atlanta) but again it's all about supply/demand. My personal opinion - i would look for another deal w/ lower mileage.

If you look carefully at the sidewalls of the tire, you can see if they are PAX or not. PAX tires have a PAX logo on the sidewall... it looks like a circle with PAX written vertically.

OP, I'm not too sure about that price being a "deal". While the CMBs package can command a premium, the PAX tires actually work against the seller.
Check out the owner sign in (first thread) to see what people are paying for used RLs. The price isn't terrible, but you could do better by getting them to come down.

just for a point of reference I spent $14,500 in June '12 for my cmbs equipped '07 RL that the seller had already "depaxed".
If you check my threads you can see most thought I got an excellent deal eight months ago.
I have no buyers remorse.
good luck
