Question Which Look Do You Think Is Better ?

So I got my mugen kit yesterday and was trying to come up with some ideas for the rear diffuser section of the rear lip. The diffuser is actually detachable.

By default the diffuser is painted body color. However I was thinking of having it painted black/dark gunmetal color.

Which option do you prefer ?

I like the painted look. It seems to accent the exhaust tips a bit more.

Nice to see you back.

It might look nice if you do half and half. keep the outside the body color and paint the recessed part black. If there is not a nice transition point then this would not work. Just a thought.

I think they both look nice. But my preference would be painting the diffuser black. It looks more aggressive

I have the stock Acura underbody kit on my back. Diffuser is black there as well. I agree with others. It gives it a tougher look. Not something your mother would drive. Surprised it doesn't come black out of the box

Go for gunmetal, it's darker, but does not make it look like you have something missing...

I like the white look. Too many cars today have blacked-out lower spoilers. Keeping it body color enhances the ground-effects look.

By the way, Togue, what technique did you use to position the LEGEND lettering on your ride?

I actually am going to paint it with a color called 'phantom grey' . It's in between gunmetal and black. It's a metallic.

Rob144, that's not my car. It's a friend of mines. He lives in Japan and has a Legend.

Yep, I prefer black as well (didn't vote). The white just looks akward.

That's actually a good idea. Mine is black with a white body. I have to agree with someone else from earlier, it can looks like something is missing when you look at the car from a far distance. A shade of grey sounds best

I like it! Makes your car look sportier than a big boat.

I painted the piece yesterday. Came out really nice. The color is like the lip on the TL a-spec rear center

Now the question is should I clear coat it to give the phantom grey a shinny look or leave it with the satin finish ?.

So don't leave everyone guessing. Show us how it came out ! Maybe I'll get mine painted a shade of grey.

I say go black. It looks like crap in white....IMO.

Whoops, just saw that you painted it. Good choice.

I say you do not try and make it shine.
