I have a 2005 rl, my key fob isn't communicating with my car, had to use key, to unlock and start car, power doors locks don't work and nav won't do anything, if my sensor is broke in my door handle would it cause this? I called acura, thats about 2 hours away and said they would just have to check it, $110 an hour, & I should plan on leaving it all day!!!

 

Does your radio work?

 

I would check fuses before taking the car anywhere just in case.

 

I hope its not the dreaded dead handle symptoms.

Can you start and drive the car with the key?

 

Yes my radio works fine, to unplug my door handle sensors do I remove the handle or do it from the inside by removing the door panel?

There is a service manual in the garage that will tell you how to disassemble.

 

I would take it to a local auto zone or similar auto parts store and have them test your battery and if they have the equipment, test your charging system also. They should do it for free I know the ones close to me do
