When its absolutely quiet and your windows are down, do you hear your car make a little noise when you shift gears from park? My transmission seems to be in perfect condition but it makes a small "clicking" noise when i shift! Any other RL's make this noise or is it just mine?

 

Thats very normal on all automatic equipped cars

 

Difficult to diagnose a noise on a web board.

But it is a mechanical device and it will make a sound. Also, the ABS system runs a quick system test when shifted from PARK. This may be the source of the 'click' as well as you may notice a slight hesitation and sometimes a tug or 'clunk' resulting from this system test.

Orrrr.....it may just be the sound of Ken removing the safety as he does his 'Lock & Load'!
