Just lowered my car with H & R springs

Question for all the guys with h & r springs.

whats your experience with these springs when it comes to tire wear? i got my car aligned and the gentleman recommended me to get a camber kit if its even possible for this car. He said it was 1 degree off. I dont know how bad that is or if its bad at all. Did any of you guys go with a camber kit? is there such a kit? how much? where do i get it? haha.

at this time i am on my stocks, but i will be getting 20" rims soon.

any feedback will help!

Thanks
Gulu

hows the ride now? and we all been threw this before. there is no camber kit for the RL, you will just have to deal with it.

1 degree will be unnoticeable with proper tire rotations.

I wonder how many unnecessary camber kits are sold each day.

As long as they adjusted the toe correctly you should be alright. If I remember correctly only the rear has negative camber, it's not too cambered that will cause wear on your tires.

When I made my first response, I was making the assumption that 1 degree is pretty small, but for shits and giggles, I did the math.

With an 8" wide tire, 1 degree of wear difference will result in ~4.5/32" difference from inside to outside. A new tire will start with 10/32-11/32 of tread depth, and in TX, you will not pass inspection below 3/32. Therefore, you have 8/32 at best of tire life. If the 1 degree is true, and the resulting wear is 1 degree across the tire, then you will be running through tires about twice as fast.

Still, I would look for the advice of members here with experience on H&Rs because I can't recall seeing any threads about this potential issue.

You shouldn't notice any premature wear with such a minimal amount of camber. Toe, as stated before, is what will eat through a set of tires faster than anything. From my experience camber won't cause a noticeable difference in wear until it affects your contact patch, which will look like this. (ie pretty obvious lol)
