An item FS for RL members - shift knob

The BM is flooded with everything FS but RL parts so I wanted to share it here.

I've got the wood shift knob that I would like to unload.

If anyone wants it, I posted it up anyway in the black market...

A fool and their money will soon be parted.

Like baboya said, good luck with that. What he meant is that many dealers were selling it for $99. Discontinued or not, selling a used item at marked up MSRP is a tool move. It's not like it's a collector's item.

I don't mean to hijack someone's thread but what is the purpose of having a black market for members if we don't find items helpful? Selling something that's more than what it's worth defeats the purpose of having such forum to sell items because no one in their right mind would be interested in buying it. You're simply wasting space and ppl's time looking at it. Be reasonable on things you're selling so that we 'ALL' can benefit from it.

Just my two cents.

Since we are throwing in our two pennies, the same could be said about the space wasted for people to voice their concern around peoples choice in how they value their products rather than not being interested and moving on.

But what the hell, we all get a free post or two.

How about you stop shitting all over this post. No one cares what your thoughts are regarding my asking price. If you want a very hard to get item and also the fact that should I want to find this some time in the future that it may cost less, or more is arbitrary.
Not sure what makes you the 'GURU' of all things RL marketed.
But hey, this is a forum and you have the right to dump on any thread you wish to. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. But don't think you are going to set the market with your thread hijacking. Would you be complaining if we were selling the same part but I chose to dump it for let's say, 1/3 the price you were asking?? I'm sure you would rant and rave just like you are doing in this post.

Stop your whining and post elsewhere for the benefit of the forum.

baboya, I'm not sure you made a clear point. The BM started as a way for AZ users to buy or sell mods without crowding up the sub forums with random FS posts. It's much easier to filter out the BS when everything is in one place.

On to your other point, I don't think gman's post here or their is a waste. His item is worth whatever someone will pay for it. Him putting it out there at least advertises it's availability. If someone gives an offer and he takes it, then the BM served it's purpose. Do I think his offer is too much? Yes. However, do I think he should have the opportunity to offer it? Yes. You never know when some kid whose daddy bought them am RL will come through here looking for mods they can blow their allowance on.

gman, up until this point I disagree the thread got hijacked as we were all talking about your FS item and its price, but we have officially crossed that bridge now. So, arrrr .

What's with the insults man? I call you a tool once and you get all butt hurt. Now you can't read a single post I make without finding a way to retort offensively.

I hope your posted age is false because for a 42 year old man, you sure act childish on the Internet. I called you a tool. Get over it. Move on. I haven't said anything else even remotely offensive to you since. In fact, I tried to be helpful with your strut/springs question.

Once again, you switch gears on an awesome thread regarding Dxplicit's motor swap with your creepy hooker comment. Sorry to have hurt your feelings brotha..

Odd that you take a great thread and hijack consistently. Why don't you find a General Discussion Forum to go off topic with. Just easier for us other members who don't care if you like prostitutes lol..

I was actually the second person to mention hookers in that thread long after I had showed my gratitude and amazement for DX's ability and willingness to share a motor swap with us.

To be honest I think the price he was asking was more than fair, this is a discontinued item and you guys are giving him shit for asking $20 dollars more than when it was for sale from the cheapest vendor you could find. He probably could have asked $250 and still sold it easily. The quality of these things are amazing, my wood grain knob is nearly 8 years and the thing looks like it was put on yesterday, I wouldn't ever give it up for the stock leather wrapped one. As far as the TL knob goes, sorry, it will never have the look and feel of the RL Knob...if its all you can get your hands on though I guess the price is right for it.

^^Agreed, I spent months looking for a knob till I finally gave in for the ebay one. I'm a legend owner, once you get into the discontinued market with no aftermarket support it's a whole other ballgame that most of you fellas have yet to experience, unless you hold on to your RL a little longer.

What exactly is the difference between the TL knob and RL knob?

It was obviously worth $120 to someone. I agreed he should have the right to offer it. It just isn't what I would have done. For all we know, that knob could have been bought off of eBay a month ago for $99 and flipped for $120. That's all.

Here we go again... Hey LaDouche, it was from my 07 RL. Been on the car since new. If it was bought off ebay or not don't make a shit bean of difference.

Best Regards,

The tool. Signing off, for now
