Issues with keyless entry

Issues with keyless entry
I have a 2009 RL and have been having issues with the keyless entry.
When I grab the drivers side door handle, it only beeps once and the doors do not unlock...normally I would hear two beeps.
The passenger side door seems to work fine...once I touch the handle, I hear two beeps and the doors unlock.
It also appears that the sensor on the trunk is no longer working either...I can still open via the key fob or button on driver door.
Finally, while the driving the door automatically lock after going over 10 mph and since this issue started the doors will keep trying to lock if I drop below 10 mph and then go over again (think driving in a parking lot looking for a space).
Any suggestions?

Does the driver's handle still lock via touch? Does the car say "Welcome Driver #" on the mid when you get in to start it?

It does not lock via touch and to be honest I wasn't even aware that was a feature. I've always used the key fob to lock and activate the alarm.
The mid does display "welcome driver 1 or 2" depending on which fob I have and the issue is the same regardless of which fob I use.
No issues with the navi either...

I don't have a solid answer, but I can list the possibilities I can think of. Maybe you can do some debugging and rule these out. Unfortunately, some of them you probably can't.
- Low fob batteries
- Fob RF interference. Any electronics, especially a phone, near the fob can cause intermittent antenna reception loss.
- Proximity sensor failure. The car isn't realizing the fob is near the car.
- Keyless access module failure. (I'm leaning toward this because of the car re-locking at 10 mph.)
I doesn't sound like a door handle short. That is usually a catastrophic failure and causes fuse 7 to blow. The fact that the handle reponds somewhat indicates to me that it hasn't shorted out.
When you use the fob to unlock the car, does the driver door handle courtesy light come on? If you unlock the car with the fob and then hold down the unlock button again, do the windows roll down?

I appreciate the help...
For what it's worth - this issue started happening intermittingly this winter. For instance in the morning the keyless entry wouldn't work and then by afternoon it would. I chalked that up to the cold (live in the northeast), but it wasn't consistent. Now it's been malfunctioning for the past 4-5 days solid.
In response to your other questions - the courtesy light does come one and the windows can still be rolled down with the fob. I've done that without issue the last couple of days.
Only other electronic device would be my iPhone and I keep it in my other pocket

Unfortunately, I can't recall anyone else experiencing the issues you have described. If you are lucky, someone may come along with your answer, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
If you haven't already found it, you can get the service manual from one of the links here: https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...service+manual. There is a document called Keyless Entry.pdf. It may help you further troubleshoot. Otherwise, I think this calls for a dealer and an HDS tool to know exactly what is going on. Good luck.

Does your MID say "Welcome Driver 1/2" when you get in to start it? If not, follow the resync instructions on the back of the fob.

Was this resolved with the door handle? My passenger door handle works, Driver door handle locks only. It stopped unlocking after this long rain. Its' been a nice warm day today, so thought it would have dried out by now. FOB completely works well.

How close was the fob to the car while it was raining? Water on the handle can lock and unlock the door. Repeated use of the lock can burn up the handle. Same thing happens to people who wash their car with the fob in their pocket.
