Interior convenience features

Are you supposed "break the seal" in the console compartment to put the iPod cable the though that little hole? I'm looking for a slit to slide the iPod cable through but I cant find one. Thanks!

I left mine in the bottom compartment, but yes to get the wire in the top you have to pop out the little square.

There are a bunch of iPod install threads, I cant see the pics at work but there may be some visuals in there: https://acurazine.com/forums/search....archid=5082092

i gotta get one of these things... is it pretty easy to put in... just tap into the XM conroller....

when you are NOT using it, do you retain XM1 and XM2, or do you forever lose one of the XM presets? meaning.. is XM1 gone forever and I can only program half of them?

I used a utility knife and slit an X so that my aux cable would fit through...and when not in there it looks like it was never cut.

Thanks! so u are required to do some "cutting." I look in the manual and they never mention it. They show the area to be cut but never say "cut". so thanks for clearing that up. I juss needed the green light to do some permanent "damage/cut" if u will
