Which interior colors

I am in the market for a white 2010 RL and I was wondering which interior color is nice? Black or Tan? TO be honest, black looks sportier and younger, while brown looks more of an older man's car. I do like the brown cuz it matches the wood color and I like how you can see contrast in the doors and seats. Black makes everyone inside look like one giant pieace but it looks easier to keep clean.

The salesman at the dealer did say a lot of ppl request for black interiors in the white MDX's and its unfortunate that they dont do that color combo.

I have a taffeta white CL with parchment leather; I wouldn't have it any other way!

Remenber this is IMO. The parchment looks cooler, interior looks larger, interior looks cleaner, and the black shows every piece of lint and light spec especially on the dash and mats. Our other car has taupe interior and a black dash. Almost everyday we have to wipe it because of dust. On the downside the light mats get dirty but I would rather clean them every three months and have the light interiors. I have been soaking the mats in Oxy Clean and they come out looking new.

My original thought was lighter color leather is better and cooler.
But when the sales guy drove the 2011 MDX Advance
to my home in ...
Exterior Color: Grigio Metallic
Interior Color: Ebony
I said WoW, it was more "guy color", and it made sense.
I also think the lighter colors will show more wear and
that must be the reason they dont do it in Ivory anymore.
That was my original choice but no longer offered.
I am glad I did not pick parchment - get those windows tinted dark
and park in shade w window cover to keep inside cool.
The a/c in the seats really keeps your "stuff" kool.

Couple years back when I was looking to buy a RL, it was nearly impossible to find white/ebony color code. Definitely get Black!

I think it's really a questions of looks vs livability. The parchment looks nice but how easy will it be for you to live with as it relates to day to day care and maintenance?

This is really it. Parchment looks better, IMHO, but over time, the leather becomes quite difficult to keep clean, especially as creases and cracks develop.

Look at any interior design materials, furniture stores, what have you, and light colors look great, dramatic and all that, but in real life, try living with a white sofa, much less with kids and/or eating or drinking...and you get the idea with parchment...black basically shows less dirt and wear and tear.

Parchment requires maintenance - lots of dye transfer on my wife's '08 TSX with parchment. A hassle to keep spotless.

I think im gonna go with black, too. I think the parchment interior gives it the "senior citizen" car look. Black interior looks sporty. Oh and I hate you Canada for having the white/black combo on the MDX's, SOOOO many ppl in the US want that combo.

I love the white on black combo, and I agree with the general sentiment of this thread. I would have held out but everything else was what I wanted with the RL I ended up buying. Good luck in your search!
