I'm guilty! Anyone else?

Okay, so there's a bit of a confession I need to make to my RL brethren. My initials happen to be "RL". This played a tiny role in my decision to hook up. Obviously, once I test drove the vehicle other much more important things led me to purchase, but the whole name thing made me look. I feel kinda like a dufus for it! Please tell me I'm not alone!!!

That's not the only reason I bought an RL. It's my fourth Honda product, so it was a natural progression. I was leaving mortgage loan origination for real estate and had an S2000. It's pretty difficult to accomodate real estate clients with a two-seat drop. I wanted the biggest and best Honda....IMO that's the RL.

On the bright side, had they continued calling it the Legend, things might be even worse.

My initials are RL, too. When my Mom first got in the car, she thought I had the floor mats monogrammed.

I used to own 1G and then a 2G Legend. That the RL moniker matches my initials is the only consolation I have since they dropped the (preferred) Legend name.

Anyway, my choosing the RL had nothing at all to do with it having my initials. Nothing, I tell you. Not one whit. Absolutely nada. No way, no how. It's a great car no matter what they call it. I mean, it would have been my 3rd Legend. Hey, it's got my initials!

As goofy as it sounds, I feel like I'm somehow connected to Jaguars because all of their VINs start with SAJ -- my initials.

Personalized license plates are a lot cheaper than a car with your initials.

That is certainly true. I actually considered getting a personalized plate, but my better judgement took over. That would just be overkill.

So, the official count is two RL owners with the same initials as their car. I bet this tally would be higher on the TL board. There's bound to be at least a handful over there.

Extrapolating your logic, then MDX should be the SUV of choice for female (x-chromsome) doctors. Neuronbob probably won't find this intuitive.

As seen by my username I'm an RL as well.

It was funny when Acura sent me the pen for getting the car and it has RL engraved on it...makes it seem like I got the pen engraved for my initials. A girl at work actually saw that and asked if they put RL on it for my initials (wondered if maybe they engrave the pens for the owners' initials) or if it was simply RL because that is the car model. hehehe
