How to use jack stands on 2007 RL
Hi Ho: Changed the oil the other day and found that the jack points are steel bars about 1/2 X 4 inches. My floor jack would have damaged the surrounding metal, so I make an adapter out of hardwood with a groove for the metal piece that sits in the pan of the floor jack.
My question is: How does one use jack stands to support the car? Do I have to figure some way to adapt the jack stand to fit the metal bar, or does someone have a better way? I would really like to put the car on four jack stands so I can get under it to work on transmission, transfer case, and rear differential.

I recently had my car on 4 jacks no problem. I used the subframe on he rear and there are two two points on the front U use. I have a low pro jack from Harbour Freight that gets up really high so I can put the stands under no problem.
