I bought a ram-air intake from Xcelerate (it's for a 04-08 TL) for my 06 RL. As I began installing it, I ran into difficulty removing the crank case vent line. When I look inside the stock intake tube, there is some kind of protrusion shaped like a mushroom top inside the tube where the crankcase vent line attaches to it, and no matter how hard I pulled I could not get the vent line off of the intake tube. I got worried that maybe I was going to break something, so I stopped pulling.

Does anyone know if the crankcase vent tube just comes off if I pull hard enough? Or is the mushroom-top some kind of thing that is permanently attached to the vent line, in which case maybe it's not going to come out?

Any info would be appreciated.
