How much for a wood steering wheel?

You know, I should have bargained this option
into my lease. After all, I did get them to throw
in some accessories with my deal.

Now I regret not getting a wood steering wheel.

I'm thinking about it. The car is leased so I am
not sure it is worth the cost, but I figured I ask
what sort of price the dealer will quote me and how
much additional it would cost to install.

Thanks!

eBay is the cheapest. You can get it there from trusted dealers like Curry Acura, Falconi, etc.

Found one HERE for $429 (thanks ASP).

I went for BLACK since I have a black interior.

Any idea how much a dealer might charge to install?

If you are so inclined, it is possible to install these yourself. I did a wood steering wheel install on my Odyssey van, which has the same type of wheel as the RL. It took me a couple of hours because I was extra careful and was purposely not in a hurry, but I saved a few hundred bucks that the dealer wanted to charge me. The part that gives most people pause as a DIY project is removal of the airbag-the instructions make it sound like you are handling a live bomb, but if you use reasonable care and don't drop it on the garage floor, there is no real danger. THere are a few Honda & ACura sites that have the installation pdfs that you can read if you want more info and get a better feel for the complexity of the task vs. your aptitude and/or desire.

I find that my "wood-like" wheel looks really good and I am still pleased that I selected it. It certainly doesn't heat up as much as the black leather wheel, I think the texture on the leather part really helps here.
