I've just bought an 2005 RL like in November, and i was wondering, how do you take off the front license plate frame. I tried to reach into the inside through the lower plastic grill, and I can't see to find how to remove the license plate frame. the frame itself is also messing up one of the plastic grills, by bending it down. so i'm really in a hurry to know how to remove that sucker before it gets any worse . please help! thanks.

 

It bolts in to a metal tab. All you need to do is get a socket wrench with extension and screw it out.

We're in a totally opposite boat than you. We desperately need the hardware (bolts and tab) to mount our plate on. Acura says that they don't have any to spare (BS).

 

It's really easy. Pull out the license plate itself, and then behind it there will be sockets that you can unscrew. Should only take like 5 minutes.
