Honda Transmission Fluid Exchange Machine

Hi!

I just got a part replaced on the RL - AC fan motor - and they (the Honda dealership)reported back that the transmission fluid is dirty. Im at 92k and plan on driving a long distance within the year so id like to get a flush anyways. I was reading the 3x3 flush is best, but Honda offered thier service that includes a "machine" and some "cleaner". Here is what they wrote:

"Using the state of the art machine, one of our trained technicians will use a safe and effective cleaner to dissolve and suspend the varnish and gums in the transmission, valve body, torque converter, pan filter element, transmission lines, and transmission cooler. The technician will then flush the entire unit of all old fluid and suspended debris, and install new transmission fluid. "

Does anyone know if this machine is worth it? Should i go with this service or specifically request a 3x3? Any thoughts would be awesome

Do not under any circumstances have the machine flush your transmission; instead, have a 3x3 fluid replacement done. Your transmission will thank you.

I just checked one of my Honda Owner's Manuals and this is what it says regarding "flushing" the transmission:
To thoroughly flush the transmission, the technician should drain and refill it with Honda DW-1, then drive the vehicle for a short distance. Do this three times. Then drain and refill the transmission a final time.

What is proper procedure when you are doing 3x3 drain?

Drain the transmission, refill with three quarts, drive a bit, repeat the procedure two more times.

in the RL its more like you will have to do it 5 times because each time only 2.5 quarts come out.
