The Temple of VTEC (TOV) got hold of some statistics for Honda Europe for 2007. The statistics, from Honda, broke out total Legend sales for all of Europe.

For the impatient:

from January to August 2007, Honda sold 1296 Legends as opposed to 348 last year, a rise of 272.4%. This is not a surprise considering that the Legend is a new model over there. The August sales this year, though were dismal, 138 vs. 280 last year, a drop of 50%. It appears the same thing happened over there as here--the sales were high the first year and are beginning to drop off.

Just more food for thought that I happened to see.

Not surprisingly, the Civic is the best-selling Honda in Europe, followed closely by the CR-V and the Fit. Diesels seem to do well over there, as well, and hybrids have increased greatly in sales. This just shows the priorities in European Honda sales.

Yea, I saw that. Kind of interesting. Let's hope it continues to go the other way, although I just saw another review in an 07 Irish motoring mag that said, close, but no cigar for Honda.
