High gloss piano black plastic

The piano black vertical structures between the side windows seems to have been shipped with tape protecting the finish. I have not been able to remove what appears to glue from the tape used. The surface is smooth you can't feel what ever it is, but it is noticeable. Anyone out there have the same problem and solution?

Have you tried a claybar? I feel like a good detailer should be able to remedy this situation.

I would try a heat gun and something to transfer the glue on to (paper towel). Kinda like cleaning up spilled wax? Idk if clay bar would be enough to take off the glue.

The car is an 07 - there is nothing tacky on the finish. I have tried clay bars and an auto polish that I use for everything, that works on everything, but not those streaks on the high gloss black finish.

I think I know what your referring to as I have experienced it myself but not on trim, on the paint, most recently after removing dealer decal on trunk. Im not sure polish will work as its likely deeper like the gloss of clear has been removed on the paint. I think where your situation differs is that is a vinyl wrap on those pieces (too many cars to remember this level of detail) I believe if I understand where your describing so you may be dealing with discoloration in the plastic cover itself.
