HID's ??

I've been looking around and seen positives and negatives about both companies HID kits and wanted to try to get a general consesus on both before I make my next purchase.
I am looking at HIDeXtra.com and DDMTuning.com sets. I am looking at the Slim sets both make b/c I am looking to mount these for my foglights and would like the smallest possible. DDMTuning has lifetime warranty while Hidextra has 1yr, and I've read grips about both some on the board.

Any particular opinions or reason's to go with or not go with one?

Thanks in advance.

I'd go with DDMTuning because I've bought the slim HID kits from them, and they're great. They might need some seconds to warm up, but so far I'm loving them on the Insight.

But wow, there's this like sudden interest in HID fogs fog conversions on this forum.

Oops about the duplicated pic above, I meant this:

I have used over 6 sets from ddmtuning and 1 of them had lights of different color and as of right now, one has an issue where it won't turn on, it's one of those hi/low one's that worked until I walked away.

The latest ballasts from them are not slim, I think they did away with that unless they started charging more. All the one's I've purchased were raptor series and the new shipments are no longer slim.

Otherwise the lights are great.

These were the ones I bought, not the raptor series.

i've bought multiple sets from ddmtuning.com for myself and for friends. We've all been quite happy with them. And they've served us well in my Accord, my friends Civic, and my friends Audi A4.

Nice thanks for the replies!!

I actually found a forum that had the owner or manager of DDM posting and he gave out his personal email if anyone had any problems at all to contact him so I feel a lot better about them now after reading that.

037- I think they still do the Slim kits, least they are up on their website and are $49 as opposed to the $29 for the regular. Still a great deal esp seeing as how the HIDeXtra ones ate $90($75 with the discount). When you include shipping the HIDeXtra ones are only about $10 more since they do free shipping. the thing they dont do is a lifetime warranty like DDM does though.... might just be enough to sway me that way and go with DDM.

I went with HIDExtra.com @ $60 (After Coupon Code). Due mainly to the fact that when I looked at the install instructions from DDMTuning.com, they showed two types of connectors which might come with the kit. One type was a matching H11 type connector, the other was two seperate insertion pins (looked quite exposed to the elements to me.)

I contacted DDMTuning about that and asked which connector style came with H11 kits, he said "Whichever version we have in stock at the time".

$.02

I am planning to get a kit from DDMTunning too. Based on the volume of sales they do and the overall feedback on the internet, I would say that for the price, I can pick up and HID + Relay wiring harness (which really helps while adding after market kit) and come out cheaper with added benefit of lifetime warranty.

The relay wirring harness will ensure that the voltage stays stable and you do not get the typical HID flicker or that 1 lights up or other doesn't. Plus it keeps the OEM wirring safe from huge power surge.

Went with DDM Tuning and ordered the relay harness incase I really need it. I imagine I'll have to splice into the stock one for the fog light switch to still work correct? Hopefully it isn't too difficult, and the plugs are the right ones.
