HID foglights

I just finished a project with a friend on his MB, we had success in converting its foglights into HID, and visibility amazing.
Now, i'm considering using 6000k- 8000k on my RL, but a bit worried about the generated heat and its effects. Do you think the foglight lense can withstand a 8000k HID bulb.

i called my shop and was told that if the foglight lense is glass not plastic and the housing is metal, i shouldn't have a problem.
Now, i know that the fog lense is glass, but how about the housing?
last time i checked it wasn't plastic, but can anyone help and confirm.
I'll probably run 6000K

HID's generate less heat than traditional lights-even fog lights.

If you like the purple look and you don't care about the performance of the light too much , then use 600K-8000K bulbs. If you want light performance then use something close to 4500K
