Help Me ID This Mystery Trim Part

Just discovered the little "adjustable" cupholder mechanism for bigger/smaller cups, and underneath the little drink "shelf" I found these...a small piece of black interior trim with the letter "L" on the underside, and a fastening screw...any ideas where these are from? I've done a pretty thorough interior clean a couple of times already and have yet to discover any missing trim pieces, etc....

I think they might belong to the center console, under the rubber mat in the lower compartment.

Near as I can tell, it comes from another car altogether!

The closest part is a small panel under the steering wheel, but that wouldn't have a clip. It must come from someplace hidden, and on the Left side (hence the L). Or from under the hood.

Curious indeed
