Headlight Oxidation

Hello - my 06 RL front driver headlight is getting some oxidation on the outside. It is a little yellowish. What can I use that is safe and does a good job of removing the oxidation? Has anybody else experience this?

Thanks in advance.

I used 3M plastic X for my g35, and it worked real well... haven't had that problem with my RL though (knock on wood.) You can get it at any auto parts store for under $10.00

Wetsanding is a great option but you have to make sure to put some type of sealant or UV protectant or it will oxidize very quickly again.

See this link to a DIY in the 2G CL thread.

Here are a few pics of my results

What do you fellas recommend for a sealer/UV protectant after buffing them out? I've buffed out plastic lenses on our Ford, and then just waxed them, but they do oxidize again, that's for sure.

best diy kit period.

what makes it the best? only diy kit that comes with a uv sealer. will stay oem fresh for years compared to months with 3m, meguires etc. should be availabe at local auto parts stores and walmart.

I think it really sucks wind that we have to do this to our lights. You can't get new lenses, you can only buy a whole assembly from what I have heard...$1000 each? Why didn't Acura/Honda make the lens out of glass instead and keep that fresh look for ever on our cars? It is not that complicated of a glass cover to make.
