Headlight and Bumper Gap

I have a 2006 RL.
My friend backed into it with his Lexus RX330 and crushed my front bumper.
I subsequently had the bumper replaced.
Looking at it, I noticed a small but noticable gap between the headlight assembly and the bumper on both sides. It's not big but noticeable.
I took it to a different body shop and the guy said this is normal as the replacement bumpers all have some variation and so a small gap is normal.
Is this true? Anyone else notice a gap in their RL headlight and bumper junction?
Thanks.

Mr. Hsieh,

Mine front bumper was also replaced and there is no gap between the head light and the bumper. The head lights do protrude a little bit from the bumper. Hope that helps

Is it a genuine Acura part or a knock-off?

It was a genuine part. I took it to the Honda/Acura shop.
The second body shop I tok the car to for a second opinion told me the gap is normal. He actually told me the repair was done very nicely.

^ I was just about to say get a different opinion, but looks like you did that. I had a custom bumper put on my Z (see avatar pic), I also had the same issue... my bodyshop guy made some custom clips and MADE it fit. That may be your only option at this point. Take it to someone who doesn't mind the extra labor to get the fitment perfect.

Looking at some of the RL photos posted here, I think the gap may be normal as I see it in other RLs here as well.
I guess the panels don't form a tight seal around the headlight asssembly.
Thanks for all the inputs.
