Good shop in the Milwaukee area?

Hello All,

I have a 2005 RL that needs A14 service which includes the timing belt and such.

Not big on dealers, so anyone have any recommendations for an independent shop? Preferably in the western suburbs near Waukesha area.

Thanks!

I know it's a far drive but I would hands down recommend The Pit Shop in Libertyville, IL. Drew is a former Acura tech and knows his stuff. Definitely worth the drive.

Thanks for the responses. I called everyone except the guy in Libertyville, that is a bit of a drive and I would have to find something to do there for the better part of the day on a weekday

I'm thinking I might just do this myself next weekend. I'm reasonably good and might have a friend give me some pointers.

Howdy...I had my 2005 RL serviced by Meeker Auto Sales in Germantown. http://www.meekerhillauto.com/
Its were I bought the car...and they have a full time Honda tech there named Nick. He did my valve adjustment and timing belt! Also adjusted my A/C for me. He is REALLY good, and only uses OEM parts and fluid.
Hope this helps!

I would highly recommend King Motorsports Unlimited. They are the best independant shop. The best dealer is of course Acura of Brookfield. You will save a few hundred bucks going to King Motorsports though.

Also ask about their timing belt special: Milwaukee Honda and Acura Service Center - King Motorsports Unlimited

If I recall correctly, it ends up being more expensive than 650 for the RL due to a few more intricate steps being required, but you still get a lower price overall.

Scott is the man, he knows his $hit, a real expert on Hondas and Acuras.

I've had service done their as well as had them install the oem lip spoiler and it was all perfect
