many of us have had a broken fog light. You have to replace the whole unit. I was quoted just over $300 a couple of years ago. I never replaced my. It still works and just has a bb size hole in it. I covered it with clear film to keep the water out. You have to remove the bumper to replace the lamp.
As you're hearing above, the cracked/broken foglight is a genuine financial disaster: the lenses aren't sold separately (it's a sealed "can" construction" and they're not detachable) and the list price for the fog unit is $167. Since the bumper has to come off, the Acura dealer will charge around $100 to replace the unit.
Go ahead, curse.
When you do replace it, I strongly suggest you cover the lenses with XPel or a similar product. I personally went with a 40mil (twice the thickness of Xpel) product from 3M, which I bought in a scrap/sheet from an install shop that I found on the XPel website.
