Planning to mount a woodgrain gearknob from KB2 into a KB1 - will it fit ?

Assuming you aren't talking JDM KB1, no, it's a completely different shifter. There is no leather boot around the KB1 like the KB2.

 

On the european Legend there is boot around it ... this is a 2006 KB1:

Okay. Are you saying you have a EUDM Legend? If you have a USDM RL, it's not going to work. The shape of the shifter path is completely different.

Edit 1: Prove me wrong if you want, but I'm 99% it won't work (on the North American model). I'll link previous threads of the same topic when I have the time.

Edit 2: What you can do is take the KB2 "wood" shifter trim and install it on the KB1. Then you can either find the ultra-rare KB1 wood knob (or modify an MDX knob) and have that extra plood grain to show off.

 

I have the European KB1 yes ... shifter knob look totally same.

 

I would think it's a pretty straightforward swap then, but we don't see many EUDM Legends here.

 

Well they look the same, only thing different is that when put in manual on the KB1 you have to take the knob to the left ...

They dont have same sparepartno's though ....
