I have a 2005 Acura RL with 270k miles on it. Love the car and will drive it to the grave. But the issue I was having is that I lost acceleration and was forced to pull over while driving. The next day I got it to start but with a new noise in the engine bay. Does it sound like a bad fuel pump? I'm guilty of letting the gas tank run close to empty frequently. Thank you

 

The RL does have a TSB on the fuel relay(?) going bad, was that every checked?
