Cool Front Console Latch Broken

Hey guys,

I was In the drivers seat and then leaned over the front console to the rear seat to put up the window shade for my daughter. When I did I put pressure and twisted the front console and I snapped the latch. Now the console won't stay closed. I tried to figure out how to replace the latch to no avail....

Anyone know how?

Time for me to go on a diet.....

Thanks.

Which latch is broken? There are a few on the console, all of which are replaceable.

I am pretty sure he is taking about the one that holds the armrest part thing down to the console storage area, but not the latches holding the left and right armrest down. (If that makes any sense)

If I'm reading this right, then the top compartment latch broke.

If so, they are easily replaced... Tim@Oem Acura parts should be able to help you.

You either need to spend more time or less time in the weight room. I can't tell for sure.

Unfortunately, my beer is stored next to my weights... so for some reason, spending more time in my weight room is not helping me...

Its great that the part can be replaced, I just can't seem to figure out how to get the latch out....

Looks like your SOL at purchasing that part individually, you will probably have to purchase the whole armrest $425. Or go find one from a totalled vehicle lot
