Found a low mileage 2011 RL
My pampered, over-maintained 243k miles 2005 RL has been hands-down the most reliable car I have ever owned. But given miles I have been looking another lower mileage RL. I found a very low miles 2011 one owner RL in Georgia. Engine oil was changed annually at the dealership. The car has less than 18k, and was sheltered in a climate controlled garage. After I change out the original tires, what should I change or service? Any mature suggestions will be appreciated.

Congrats on your find - that is crazy low mileage for a 2011. Based on age and unless you have access to all the maintenance records, I would be looking to replace all the fluids and inspect anything made of rubber - like you mentioned tires, hoses, bushings, etc.

Replace anything rubber - belts/hoses/tires and of course fluids.

2020 Acura RLX Advance
Have the air bags replaced under recall if not already done. I would have an Acura dealer perform any tech updates that may have not been done. My dealer did some kind of transmission software update on my 12 RL last year
Post pictures! I loved my 12 RL

Very helpful. Never thought about recalls and software updates. Pictures in a few days. Thanks, Roger

I think just the driver's side air bag gets replaced. The passenger side I believe is just the igniter module. I remember my Acura dealer saying the passenger side was a very quick and easy job and did not require taking any part of the dashboard apart.

Fortunes change. I have paid CarMax for moving the 2011 RL from Georgia to Tulsa, Now because of changing situations, I will not be purchasing the car. Thanks for all the help. If any you may be interested in the car, the Stock # is 20181807. Thanks for all the advice. Roger

Supply and demand (perceived??) at work. I think the ultra low mileage may have something to do with it as well and also keep in mind this is at CarMax, so anything is possible.

I found the car on the first day of it being offered at CarMax in Buford, Georgia. After I had a prepurchase inspection completed, a hold was placed on the car. Considering that live in North West Arkansas, I had the RL transported to CarMax in Tulsa. Fortunes changed and I no longer plan to purchase the vehicle. I plan to notify CarMax tomorrow to release my hold on the car.

Looking at RL's owner's manual: http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/p...1/JA1111OM.PDF - it says to following the maintenance minder for timing belt.
I remember reading on another part of this forum that no where do you actually read/see Honda recommending 10-year rule anywhere....it seems to be all maintenance minder based. I believe there is a thought that you may not actually need to do the TB service just because it is 10 years old...but I could be wrong though...just throwing it out there....

But then again the LS430 has MUCH more clout/legendary status than the RL as one of the best japanese large luxury sedans.

It looks like this - https://acurazine.com/forums/second-.../#post16691733 - note that Australia is classed as a "harsh" environment so you might find your USA interval is longer...
