Fog Light Lens
Fog Light Lens
I took a rock to my driver's side fog light. The light is fine but the lens is cracked. When I checked with my local body shop, they told me that the fog light unit is sold as one part, and the lens is not available seperately.
Anyone have any ideas?
I'd rather not replace the whole light assembly for a cheap plastic(or glass) lens...

I purchased the replacement unit from Acura and had a trusted Honda dealer install it.
The fog light replacement is a unit...I didn't see a way just to replace only the lens, although I I meant to keep the original to investigate just that possibility...I forgot to ask for it when I picked up the car.
As I recall, the fog light assembly cost about 170-180 or so and the Honda dealer charged me $80 to install it...replacement took less than an hour, and I don't believe the tech removed the front bumper...he took some stuff apart, but I didn't stick around...couldn't stand to see the car disassembled!!

This one of the reasons I put the 3M film on my lights. This happen to me on my 2002 TL S-type. I found it was cheaper to put the film on both head/fog lights than to pay $260 to replace one lens/light fixture. Also the 3M film I put on had a $1000 placement guarantee.

Keep Your Expensive Headlights from Breaking
The 40-mil material is flexible enough to adhere to curved headlights, but has been tested to withstand the impact of gravel traveling at 120 mph.
With headlights costing $300 or more, even a gravel hit can be expensive. The pressed, polished thermoplastic vinyl is optically clear so it won't change the look of your car or reduce lighting effectiveness. Custom-cut to fit your specific make and model, X-Pel's special 3M adhesive backing goes on in minutes. UV inhibitors ensure that X-Pel will remain clear even in the harshest elements. Made in USA. D.O.T. approved. Kit includes covers for both headlights and in some cases, foglights and parking lights . Please specify the year, make and model of your vehicle. Custom-made; allow three weeks for delivery - Signature required for delivery.

I used it after I lost a headlight on my 2004 Land Cruiser to the tune of $300 (installed myself). This thread reminded me to order a set for my RL.
