Lightbulb Flashbox Taillight Mod on my RL

Just installed some flashboxes to my taillights and 3rd brake light to make them strobe when I brake. Just wanted to share.

No wonder those are illegal for OEM. That is annoying as hell.

Can you change the frequency or how many times they turn off then back on?

If they strobed just once MAYBE twice then stayed lit it would be far less annoying. As well as more time between being off and on so that you dont give people seizures.

I spy a citation in your future the first time you brake in front of a LEO. Not only is that annoying, it's totally unnecessary.

Yeah it just strobes a few times then it stays constant. It looks flashy because I was pressing and depressing the brakes just for the video.

You pressed the brake more than once in the first 2 seconds?

$10 says if you had to drive behind you, you would remove them.

It is actually a version of what is common in the EU but it should only flash if you are performing exceeding hard braking such as an emergency stop. To have it on under normal braking defeats the object of the system - it is to tell the person behind you that you are braking hard and not just some person riding the brake pedal.

Can you mod this box so that it works properly?
