First Brake Service
First Brake Service
Looking for a ballpark guess as to how many miles before the brakes will need to be serviced under normal driving conditions (if there is such a thing). My car just turned 38K and I have never heard as much as a squeak from the brakes. I meant to ask the dealer at the last inspection but totally forgot.
Took a quick look in the owner's manual but that just seemed to address changing the brake fluid etc.

I've got just over 45k on my 05 and my Acura Tech buddy said I've got prob 2-3k left on my front pads and 10-15k on the rear pads.
I'm a little rough on the brakes - love the stopping power of the front Brembo's
- but do a search on the TSB that's been issued for the front brakes - my tech buddy said that they'll flat-out replace the front pads, rotors and possibly even calipers at no charge, which would get you many many more miles before you've got to worry about a brake job.

Thanks for the replies.
Looks like it will still be a while before I have to worry about brakes. I'll check that TSB out too. Not sure if my VIN is within the range of qualified vehicles.
