Hello,

I am trouble with the firmware update on my 2005 RL. I have a burnt copy of the firmware. Once I install it in the DVD Nav Unit in the trunk, the Acura Splash Screen comes on for about 10 to 15 seconds and then turns off for about 2 seconds. This process just repeats forever.

According to some posts here, none have had a similar problem.

Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

Most likely it could be the burned copy of the software is the culprit. I did an update to the nav system about 2 updates ago. It took about 15 minutes to update the software, install the new nav system and it was good to go. The last update I just slipped in the disc and it was good when I turned it on. Just wondering if I should pop for the latest update that came out a few months ago.

Just try letting it run for about 5 minutes and see what happens. Worst is just put in the old disc and hope it works.

You didn't say what version of software you are trying to install.

 

Thanks. Got it done last night. Upgraded firmware to 1.29 from 1.10. Then loaded 4.92 from 4.13. I had to get into the Developer settings and load from there. After a while it was done.

I was trying to delete this post last night.
