Is the fin back? Just saw a new (no plates yet) RL on the road with a fin. Thought the fin was history with the 07.

 

My 2008 RL/Tech Package doesn't have one.

 

I have never been able to figure that one out. I understood the fin had to do with OnStar, but that was discontinued in 07, and yet we saw some 07s with fins and without fins. I did not pay attention to the 08s.

 

If I'm not mistaken recent pics of the '09 RL show the shark fin!

 

agree that it's back on the 09, but it is not out yet. The RL I saw had to be an 08 or perhaps an 07 that had been on the long time, because it was obviously just purchased

 

the fin appears on the '08 base RL. No explanation was given as to what its for.

 

maybe they already drilled the hole and had to fill it with something
