Engine Mounts
Engine Mounts
I have some vibration on my new to me RL that I was thinking was my transmission (posted about that earlier), which I suppose there could be some, but then I had my wife put the car in drive and hold the brake and give a few revs and the engine is hopping around. Based upon my research, either my front mounts are shot (maybe along with the rear?) or the vacuum lines in the active system are disconnected or have issues.
The dealer i bought it from said to bring it back in so they can look at it. They offer a short warranty on engine and trans and I am in that window, but not sure if that will cover the mounts.
My diagnosis seem accurate? Any thoughts on what this would cost to fix in case he does say thats not covered and wants to charge me? He did say for any work I ever needed done the shop rate is $70 on cars I buy from them, which seems reasonable...most shops in my area are 100-120/hour.
