engine coolant

How do you replace or flush the engine coolant? Is it a DIY?

I DIY at like 50 to 75 K.
Flush with hardware installed to hook up hoses is overkill
and a way for service stations to markup a simple DIY.
The only case I can make for backflush is ... you waited to
long to replace and it got moldy oldie.

It is definitely a DIY. Here is a link to the cooling system service manual. The coolant replacement begins on page 6.

The entire manual can be found in the Garage.

I did a preemptive flush at about 50K...but didn't flush out the engine too...just the radiator. Was SUPER easy. Just unscrew the plug at the bottom of the radiator and flush it out with a hose...then refill.

Yeah, just never got around to it, plus, I only had 1 gallon of coolant and it was the perfect amount to flush just the radiator.
