Engine Air Intake Hose
On the 2005 RL, I'm I corrected that this is the tube running from the throttle body (top right of engine) into the air cleaner housing (in front of the battery)?
I had the oil changed at the dealer today, and they said the hose was torn and barely hanging on at the top and basically getting unfiltered air into the engine.
I get home, pop the hood and check. The tube running to the throttle body is solid; not tears or holes. Is there another hose on the underside of the air cleaner case?

The tube runs from the engine to the filter like you explain. It then proceeds past the filter housing through a resonator, under the battery, and then back up to a snorkel at the edge of the hood in front of the battery. If the hose between the engine and filter is intact, you are fine (assuming there isn't a crack at the very bottom that could draw water in a puddle).
Are you sure the bottom/back of the hose isn't compromised?

^ Thanks. I'll check from the resonator to the snorkel... but I'm positive the tube from the engine to the filter case is solid. I went on Delray Acura's parts site and the diagram of the air cleaner case only shows a tube going from the case to the throttle body.

I know it's there. If you have ever changed the driver's fog light, that's the tube that is a pain in the ass to get around.
