Emissions System: P0154

This past Sunday I was driving along at city speeds and the Engine light & SH-AWD light came on, codes are:

Emissions System: P0154
All-Wheel Drive:77

Some research online shows this for the Emissions System code: P0154 Front Air / Fuel Ratio (A / F) Sensor (Bank 2, Sensor 1) Heater System Malfunction. Further research online shows that P0154 is a pretty universal DTC code for A/F sensors. I've replaced faulty O2 sensors on my previous Hondas but they weren't cheap and those Civics were much simpler to diagnose & repair.

My question to Acurazine RL members is have you had this code and can you shed any light on the subject? I will have some time this weekend to troubleshoot but perhaps someone can save me the time.

Thanks

You should see the dealer for that and get it fixed. That is not normal, and should be a warranty fix.

Do you still have a warranty ? If not, it could get pricey, good luck, let us know what you find.

You will probably need to test out a few sensors (prior to just replacing things).

I am probably wrong, but I recall that the US EPA requires a specific warranty on various emissions control system parts that far exceed the usual manufacturer bumper to bumper warranty. I was not clear that this is what I was referring to, although I now see that the OP lives in Canada, so who knows what happens...

Asked an Acura tech where the bank 2 sensor 1 location is and his answer was front cat, upper sensor. Bought the part, and 15 minutes later, I was done. Test drive confirmed that this was in fact the culprit.

Easy fix!

You don't need a part number. Buy a bank 2 sensor 1 sensor (i think upstream and downstream are the same sensor but not sure). I'd go with NTK. Rockauto.
