Drivers Side Seatbelt Tension.

Hello Guys: I wanted to know if it's normal for my seat belt in the 06 not to retract normally every time i exit the car. It tends not to retract sometimes. I have to give it a tug.

I had mine replaced under warranty a number of years ago and about a year after that it started getting stuck and not fully retracting again. I recall that someone had a post either 6 mo to a year back that if you repeatedly pull out the belt and let it retract numerous times it loosens up and works better, I did that and mine works somewhat better now.

You could find the spring mechanism and give a good WD-40 spraying. That would likely help. You may find something caught in it too.

Mine's the same way. I plan on mentioning it to the dealer next time I'm in for service. See what he has to say since according to the warranty "A seatbelt that fails to function properly is covered for the useful life of the vehicle."
