door panel removal
Has anyone removed an RL door panel?
My 2012 RL has an annoying buzzing noise that appears to be coming from inside of the driver's door (at speeds above 65mph). It is under CPO warranty, but I may be tempted to take a look at it myself.
Just wondering if it is relatively easy OR relatively easy to break or damage something in the process??? I have the Griots Garage door panel removal tool kit (that I have yet to use).
Also, the automatic electric steering wheel usually does not fully return to "set" memory location. It will if you just turn ignition to "on" position. If you actually start the car, the wheel begins to lower itself, but stops well before the set memory spot. Battery appears to be strong (my 2006 RL did this shortly before battery failed).
Thank You
Ed

A nice write up is here: https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...irrors-911689/
I also attached a PDF from a service manual. Should be relatively easy.
For the telescoping wheel, I know there is a way to remove that option in the custom settings. Maybe change the setting, turn the car off, and then change it back? What if you reset the memory position?

Thanks 007, really appreciate it.
I dropped off the RL at the dealer today to have them look at the 2 issues. I was at my Dentist this morning and he mentioned he had just done a brake job on his TSX yesterday. I told him about my rattle/vibration issue and he said his TSX had same issue. He said the door crash beam welds were the culprit. The dealer used some foam to insulate it and that took care of the issue.
I will let you know what my dealer finds. I printed out the door panel removal TSB for future reference.
