does RL have the transmission learn routine?

in newer Mercedes when it takes too long to shift it can be reprogrammed by the dealer

I was wondering if the RL has a feature to reprogram the transmission when it takes too long to shift

when I reverse and put it in drive it takes a while to shift and then it jumps if I slightly tap the gas so I don't do that

I have maxidas scanner that worked to recalibrate the traction control but I haven't looked into the transmission programming yet

ALL modern car ECU's will learn driving habits!!
you can easily reset the ECU by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few seconds to a minute

unfortunately, the problem you are describing ISNT a ECU question...it's more of a transmission mechanical problem...
the best you can do is frequently drain and fill your tranny oil.
then you can change out the pressure switches, so that it may re-act quicker.

The Honda five-speed is incredibly dull-witted and slow to respond.

Both to RND-DNR shifts and the paddles, ignoring your inputs if it's recently shifted itself.

It's just something one has to live with...
