Disable daytime running lights?

Disable daytime running lights?

I hate DRLs. In the USA, can we turn them off? I haven't found it in the manual, so I'm guessing the dealer must do it, if possible at all.

Anyone confirm or know different?

Someone posted a pretty detailed walk through about how to do it. Just make sure you're comfortable snipping electric wires in your car.
