different part number for years-tpms why??

All years have different part numbers, do they all fit each other?????

06421-S3V-A02 are for 2005

06421-S3V-A03 are for 2006

06421-S3V-A04 are for 2007

Why do they have different part numbers????

I have an 2005 but want the battery to last longer so want to know if the 06421-S3V-A04 will fit my car?? Also Im getting 20s and are getting predrilled for the tpms but are they all the exact same size?? If not that means Im stuck with the 05 part number.

I have two of these TPMS which came with some spare wheels I bought. One was from an 06 TL wheel and one was from an 05 RL wheel. They look identical. None of the part numbers you have listed are stamped on these TPMS. Both are manufactured by TRW Automotive and both are 31.5 MHz. I believe that they are interchangable. If you have concerns, check with your local Acura parts dept.

06421-S3V-A02 this is for 05-06 mdx, 05 RL, and 06 TL. But still Im wondering if the 06 and 07 ones will work and if are identical in size for the hole.

Perhaps the differences are not in the 'hardware', but in the software. There are likley subtle changes in the MIDs for these vehicles and perhaps in the signal transmissions to the receivers? Just my guess.
