Did we really need these subforums?
Did we really need these subforums?
I mean I'm all for organizing etc. but I now get notification emails for threads I subscribed to and the links in them don't work because our bizzy-bee moderators keep moving threads around. Moderators can do as they please but I don't see a benefit of this constant house cleaning. My
Don't know how others feel about it but I prefer to visit the forum a few times a day and see if there are new threads I'm interested in. Now I need to check in 4 places. It's not like we have that many new threads each day, right?

I also agree.
I tend to log on and concentrate on a single area
of this forum. It's my opinion that it isn't necessarily
busy enough here that posts need to be offshooted
to other areas. I think it would suit this forum far better
if all posts were located in one general area divided by
FIRST GENERATION and SECOND GENERATION.
...at least until the forum has the opportunity to grow.
When we become too big for our britches then it will
be time to divide further.
I hope the powers that be here give our thoughts some
consideration.

And you'll have to talk to Michael Wan about this. He was the mod that did most of the clean-up.

As for talking to Michael, I could do that but I was also interested to see what others thought about it. If everyone loves it then I'm not going to make any waves. In fact I won't make any waves regardless

I did quite a bit of moving around the first day that we created the sub-forums. I know it will be somewhat annoying for a little while - but in the end will be worth it. I promise... if not you can try to fire me
Nocturnal - as far as not being able to put things where they belong CGTSX is right we are not impressed
But more seriously - give it a week or two and everybody will be used to it.

Just as Astro said, it'll take some time to get used to it. The new sub sections allow for a more organized forum, so that we can keep the main 2G RL section to RL main discussion only, and bluetooth/audio/navi posts to their own sect, and photos to their own section.
In addition, if you're having issues with broken links with e-mail notification, you can always resubscribe to the thread thru the "Thread Tools" option, which should resolve the problem. As for the new threads, try using an RSS feed program to "catch" all of the new threads so that you won't have to check four different sections.
I appreciate all the work that goes into AcuraZine, but I do prefer coming to just one place to see everything. Maybe I'll get used to it, but I usually don't have time to even get on here daily, let alone visit four sections... Just my

I also appreciate the work that vp911 has done.
Unfortunately, like others here, I just don't have time
to click into other sections. I'll just keep reading this
area on a daily basis.
Otherwise, I love this forum!

It takes extra clicking around to check into the new groups, and this is one reason I don't visit the other existing groups very often.
It certainly hasn't happened here yet, but I've been in forums where it gets kind of complicated as to where to post.
I've found the informality of this forum to be refreshing.
(I'm aware of my habit of frequently posting OT in my own posts!!)
My two cents worth.
This *is* a very good forum, BTW, no matter the structure!
