Thumbs up Dell Pocket Dj and FM Modulator Performance

Since our new RL's have no input devices for using our MP3 players, I
decided to buy a Dell Pocket DJ and the Belkin FM Modulator that came with
the auto package. So far I must say that it is working very well and has surpassed my expectations. The sound is very clear (except in some areas) and is easy to control the volume and music selections.

Good info. How does the sound compared to the XM, FM radio, and CD? I know that it would not be able to match these sources, but an idea of how well the FM modulator compared to these other "integrated" sources is appreciated.

For lack of any scientific measuring equipment, I would have to say that it not as good as a CD or XM, but pretty dam good none the less. It works best when you are not intercepting any radio broadcasts on that channel.

that's good to know, i have the dell dj as well with with same belkim fm tuner. in my last car, the '04 TL, it was bad, i think mostly because our antennas are built into the back windshield so it's not close to the belkin tuner like when i'm in a car with a traditional antenna...thanks for the info, cuz i wasn't even planning on trying!

I have a iriver mp3 HDD player and their fm transmitter. The sound is pretty good. Not as good as CD but IMO pretty good.
