Sux I had to spend $100 on a new battery. Has this issue been solved yet? I'm afraid to leave my battery connected now if I don't drive the car for more then a few days or so....
As a result, my RL sat in the garage for four days and when I came back it started right up.

My '06 has sat for as long as a week and a half on two occasions now, and it started up fine. Don't recall if I used the trunk button after turning the ignition off or not (?)

The 06 instruction manual has a note on page 137 regarding the Auto headlight setting: "Do not leave the light switch in AUTO if you will not be driving the vehicle for an extended period (a week or more)". Maybe this causes a constant drain on the battery. Also, when the interior lights are set to the Door setting and the vehicle is left unlocked, the green indicator lamp on the Door switch (on the overhead controls) stays lit. This might also run down the battery after an extended period of time.

TSB for problem
There is a TSB available for this problem. It fixes an couple of other problems too. As far as I know it was only in the '05 models. The dealer fixed mine as noted in prior post.

Test
My 06RL was in the garage and we were playing with all the gadgets when it was new, the battery went dead. I let it sit for a few minutes and it started up. It then received all kinds of codes on the display. I put the battery charger on it for about 4 hours and the eye in the battery finally went to normal. After reading this thread last night I thought I would try to test the trunk switch. I put the car windows down and put a volt meter on the battery. I then recorded the volt meter reading of 12.95. I then hit the trunk relaease switch on the driver door. The volt meter fluctuated between 12.94 and 12.95. I closed the trunk and let the car sit for about a hour. The volt meter then showed 12.89. I am not to sure how accurate this is, since I believe as the car cools down the battery voltage will go down somewhat too. I am not sure if this is true test. Thought I would give it a shot.

May be an overall Acura issue. I remember reading a short while ago about battery draining on the new MDX if the power tailgate is left open for too long. Apparently, it was discovered by some tailgaters at a football game.

I was about to post what mwiles wrote about leaving the headlight switch on AUTO while parked for an extended period of time. That happened to our 04 MDX and has been mentioned on the acuramdx.org site relative to the power rear hatch on the 07 MDX. Maybe it is an overall Acura issue.
