Daylight Saving Time

The clock in my RL did not adjust to the correct time? I subscribe to the XM service. Do I need to adjust the clock manually? If so, how?

Thanks.

You have to have the new navi DVD, version 4.62, to correct for the new Daylight/Standard time changeovers. Unfortunately, the disc is on backorder until January 2008 due to issues with the release.

You therefore need to go into the setup and change the time manually:

Press the "Setup" button, select "more", select "change clock" (or similar, forgot what it was), then adjust the time manually. You will want to uncheck the automatic daylight savings time item.

I just went down to the car and turned it on....when I got in, is said 3:53...several seconds later it said 2:53.

I have version 4.56 with my 05' nav unit. Now when I installed my 4.56 disc, I programmed it for "mar/nov" DST and it has worked perfectly.

If you have 4.56 (dated 5/3/06) you can set it up for the updated DST.

I followed neuronbob's instructions and they worked like a charm. However, I will check the version the version of the disk I have with my 2006 RL, Larry. Thanks.

And of course it would, the October DST time having passed. The question is do you have the choice of two DST March November and April October?

I do not have the updated DST NAVI disc.

I got in the car and MANUALLY updated the clock in 4.38924 seconds!

AND that was with one arm still in a sling!

you know...i said "a few seconds" what does that literally mean....hmmm.....2 or 3 seconds...i hate to split hairs, but 4.38924 kind of rounds up to 5 seconds in my book.

But to be scientific: Several is more than a Couple,,,,but not as much as Bit, and definately more than a Few.
